I did not know Neale until he came to the public schools his junior high year, thou we lived less than two miles from each other. We just didn't travel much in those days and each had brother(s) to play with. I remember now he loved sports and excelled in them. Neale, Roger Rains and my brother were and always have been my role models. Those three took seriously being the best in what the did, whether on the football field, basketball court, track or in the classroom.
Neale graduated a year ahead of me and went to college at Emporia. Needless to say, I followed him the next year. We graduated with science degrees, and taught in the same district for several years before returning to full time farming. Our interests were alike in many ways even our social life. I did not know until years later, we even dated the same girl one week while in college. I learned about this only after I married her.
Neale did have a difinite impact on my life as well as others. I knew him as being quiet in many ways. He never seem to be in a hurry about anything from coaching, teaching and being an outstanding farmer and cattleman.
Later in our lives together, he shared his faith in God in his own way and becoming good friends with Pastor Stetz. If animals could have a faith in God, they would have wanted that same faith Neale had by the he treated them.
Lastly, I remember how he made me so proud of a statement he made at the coop years ago. We were talking about the kids who played football for Caldwell. He simply told me that he thought my son, Tad, ws one of the best football players that came out of Caldwell High School. Whether that was true or not, it meant a lot to me knowing that it came from Neale.
Turi and I wish Neale's extended family what Tad always ended his emails to everyone he wrote to---Peace, Love and Happiness. May God confort you in your time of sorrow as he has us.

I'm so very sorry to hear of Neale's death. I know he's fought this cancer a long time. The Misak family is very dear to the Kubik family as they were the ones to work our family farm when Grandpa (Harry) and Grandma (Mabel) weren't able to.
My mother, Barbara, still lives in Wichita. Daddy (David) died in 1983 and she remarried Dale Rich; they can be found in the phone book. Marilyn, I know she would like to be in touch to express her sympathy as well.
My uncle Dale lives in Alabama. His sons Steve and Ken live in Canon City, Colorado, and his son Chris lives near Atlanta.
I live in Colorado Springs.
Again, I'm so sorry to hear of Neale's death.

I will always be grateful to Neale for taking Justin on his first hunting trip for deer. Since Duane doesn't enjoy hunting it was so nice of Neale to go out of his way for a young person. Neale loved the land and especially loved hunting.

I was shocked to hear of the death of my Best Friend from school days, Neale Misak. I spent an hour with him a week and a half ago and he seemed the best I'd seen him in a while. He's had a tough time with his blood disease, but never complained or felt sorry for himself. We spent a lot of time over the years with phone calls discussing his medical condition and decisions as to tests and therapy. To this day he is listed as the answer to the "Best Friend" question on many websites I go to.

Neale had a deep concern for others and kept me up to date on classmates.

He was dedicated to the CHS class of 1962. He was the youngest member of our class but still excelled in academics and sports. I'll never forget our many early morning duck hunting trips with Eldon and Albert and Wayne and other things we did together.

I'll miss him.
